Museum of Love

The Museum of Love is an immersive evening of magical artefacts and surprises.

The inaugural museum appeared on Friday 27th March, 2015 at Hamilton House in Bristol, and featured l
ive music from:
Caspar Riis, Isolde & Pablo Perez

In this crowd-sourced museum, you can explore artefacts of all kinds of love as part of a unique, immersive experience, brought to life by a team of dedicated caretakers.  The caretakers are currently scouting for locations throughout the UK for future incarnations of the Museum of Love.  In their quest so far, the caretakers journeyed into the state of Shambala (27th-30th August, 2015).  They began conducting an
exploration of where love is present and absent in all the human activities they encounter - from how people care for themselves and their posessions, to the planet and each other.

If you have any suggestions about where next the caretakers should take their field studies, or where to curate the next Museum of Love, then please contact: info@coresist.org

MESSAGE FROM THE MUSEUM

What is love?

Can you describe it using an artefact from your life?

We are creating a Museum of Love full of artefacts which people have donated to explain what love means to them. Is your love for a place, a family, an occupation, a cause, something more spiritual? What artefact could help tell a story of what you love and care for in the world?

With live musicians, performers and a bar; this is a living museum - an exuberant, soul-nourishing celebration of love in all it's rich variety, to remind ourselves of what's important to us in this world.

You are invited to contribute to our museum and to enjoy it with us.

FAQs: Museum of Love

Q: How do I contribute an artefact?
A: Once the next museum is announced, you can contribute artefacts by contacting: info@coresist.org

Q: What kind of artefact can I share?
A: Anything which helps you to explain what love is. Perhaps an artefact which helps you tell a story. Or maybe it's a symbol. It's up to you!
Your artefact can be physical or non-physical.

Q: Will my artefact be safe?
A: At CoResist we do our utmost to keep your object locked and secure in storage and during the event, and to return it afterwards. However, contributions are offered at the owners’ own risk.

Q: How do I get it back?
A: It can be returned to you at the end of the event or arranged to be collected at another time.

Q: Is this just about romance?
A: No! It's about all kinds of love. Maybe your artefact tells a story about family, home, a place, a cause, something spiritual - anything at all to do with love.
